Thank you for your interest in the St. Clair Fire Protection District.

The St. Clair Fire Protection District is a combination, paid/volunteer fire district that relies heavily on volunteer firefighters to provide professional services to the citizens of the St. Clair Fire Protection District.

The fire district accepts applications for volunteer firefighters during the months of March and September of each year. If you are age 18 and are interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter please complete the application posted on our website, and return to St. Clair Fire Protection District Station #1, 470 E. North Street. Please review the district volunteer firefighter requirements, if you feel you can meet the requirements please complete the application.

When you return your application, please include a copy of your driver’s license, current vehicle insurance card, a copy of your criminal background check, and any copies of certifications you might hold. You can obtain a criminal background check through www.mocriminalrecords.com. The cost of the record check is $18.00 which is nonrefundable. Use the EMT login and it will explain how to complete the check.

Once again thank you for your interest in the St. Clair Fire Protection District. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact Dan Heavin (Firefighter/new volunteer coordinator) at 573-201-3430 or by email at heavin.d@scfpd.org
